Local Author Book Talk: Dan J. Kirk - Friday, Sept. 29 @ 6 pm
Meet local author Dan J. Kirk, who recently published a fascinating book of fiction, Between the Innings. It crackles with the intensity of a high fastball and serves as an ode to the sport of baseball itself. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. No registration required.

Estate Planning and Retirement Solutions with Attorney Joe Covelli and Roy Laux of Synergy Group, Inc. - Tuesday, Nov. 14 @ 6:30 pm
Local Attorney Joe Covelli will offer this free estate planning program that includes the following: How to plan your estate so that it will efficiently and cost effectively pass to your loved ones; Wills – the basics and what to avoid; Powers of Attorney – the latest and greatest.

Health Care Insurance Workshop - Monday, Sept. 25 @ 2 pm
Dr. Fox, from the Squirrel Hill Health Center, will be conducting a program about how to obtain health insurance for you and your family. No registration required.

Maternal and Child Health Services - Tuesday, Sept. 19 @ 2 pm
Nancy Scopelitis, Public Health Nurse from the Allegheny County Health Department, will present various programs that are available for free to families, regardless of income level, during pregnancy and one to two years after birth. A visiting nurse will meet with both mother and child to assess that the pregnancy is proceeding well and any questions are answered. This program is for families, grandparents, relatives and friends. Registration required.

Fall Travel Series 
This six week series allows us to “travel” around the world and learn about other places and cultures. Light refreshments will be served.

Shauna Frantz, Outreach Specialist for Jefferson Hospital, will examine how we can better manage stressors in our lives with mindfulness and deep breathing techniques. Registration required.

Free Bingo Fridays

Depression, when is it too much? - Monday, Nov. 6 @ 2 pm
Learn about different kinds of depression, how moods and emotions normally fluctuate and about general treatment methods. Shauna Frantz from Jefferson Hospital will teach a few basic tips that do help when feeling down. Registration required.

AARP Safe Driving Class - Wednesday, Oct. 18 & Thursday, Oct. 19 @ 9 am - 1 pm
This class is for those over 50 years old to review driving practices and laws in the state of PA.  Class fee is $15 for AARP members; $20 for non-members.  Fee can be paid on the first day to the instructor. You may receive a discount from your insurance company after completing this 2 day course. Registration required.
