Welcome to our Kids Summer Reading Program for children ages birth through grade five! All children will have an opportunity to register, log books read, participate in challenges, and earn raffle tickets to be entered to win end-of-summer prizes!
Register for Summer Reading (June 13th – August 12th)
- Register in person at the library and pick up a summer reading bag.
Logging Your Reading
- Read or be read to (both print and electronic books count)! Board books, picture books, graphic novels, ebooks, early chapter books, magazines, Wonderbooks… they all count toward your reading time! Keep track of each book you read on the reading log contained in your bag.
- Children Birth-Kindergarten: After reading 10 books or more, come back to the library to report what you’ve read. Every 10 books read earns 1 raffle ticket for chances to win end-of-summer prizes! After you finish reading 50 books, KEEP READING!!! You will continue to receive a raffle ticket for each additional 10 books that you read, giving you more chances to win prizes awarded at the end of the summer! So read, read, read all summer long!
- Children Grades 1-5: After reading 2 hours or more, come back to the library to report what you’ve read. Every 2 hours read earns 1 raffle ticket for chances to win end-of-summer prizes! After you finish reading 10 hours, KEEP READING!!! You will continue to receive a raffle ticket for each additional 2 hours that you read, giving you more chances to win prizes awarded at the end of the summer! So read, read, read all summer long!
- Earn MORE tickets just for participating in our weekly challenges! For each weekly challenge that you complete, earn one additional raffle ticket! Complete the entire sheet and receive a BONUS raffle ticket!
- The last day to report your reading time is Friday, August 13, 2021.

Attending Summer Programs & Activities
