NoveList is a database offered through the Allegheny County Library System and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. It can be accessed from our website by going to our database page, and clicking on NoveList. To get started, sign in with your library card number. On your first time using NoveList, you have to create an account with a username and password.
When searching for a title on NoveList, you can access the library catalog right from there and see what library has the book you are looking for or place a hold on the title.
In addition, when searching for a book, it will generate a list of title and author “Read Alikes” that suggests books similar to the one for which you are searching. These lists automatically are generated when you search for different titles.
I love using NoveList after I just finished a book that I LOVED and couldn’t put down. It helps me discover something similar or a similar author.
NoveList is not just for adults, we also offer a NoveList for the younger readers too: NoveList K-8.
