Hands-On Computer Classes!
Attend one of our classes in our new mobile computer lab! Registration required for all classes & library card required for all classes. Receive hands on instruction in one of the classes below:

JANUARY:
Introduction to Microsoft Excel: Tuesday, Jan. 24 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Learn how to build simple financial documents to practice on, learn simple functions and formulas. Basic computer and mouse skills are required or must attend Computer Basics as a prerequisite.

FEBRUARY:

Intermediate Microsoft Word: Monday, Feb. 6 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Have some basic skills in Microsoft Word, but want to learn more? Attend this class to add headers & footers, insert tables and columns and more! Basic Microsoft Word skills are needed or must attend Introduction to Microsoft Word as prerequisite.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel: Tuesday, Feb. 14 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Enhance your Microsoft Excel skills by learning more about different formula functions and inserting charts into your spreadsheet. Basic Microsoft Excel skills are needed or must attend Introduction to Microsoft Excel as prerequisite.

Introduction to PowerPoint: Monday, Feb. 20 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Learn the basics of PowerPoint including: how to insert slides, how to add text and images to a slide template, how to create a slide from scratch and more!  Basic computer skills are required.

Advanced Microsoft Word: Monday, Feb. 27 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Take your Microsoft Word skills to the next level by learning how to create letters, personalize letters and get the most out of mail merge.

MARCH:

Advanced Microsoft Excel: Monday, March 6 @ 2 pm OR 6:30 pm
Take your Microsoft Excel skills to the next level by learning how to freeze rows, navigation shortcuts, format your data into a table and more!

Google Apps Overview: Monday, March 20 @ 2 pm or 6:30 pm
In this class, you’ll learn all the different apps available for you with your Google Account.  Learn about calendar, Google Drive and tips for using your gmail account. Must have a google account (gmail) in order to attend the class.

 

Device Advice Classes

Did you get a new gadget for the holidays? Want to learn an overview of your device?  Attend one of our Device Advice sessions.  These informal classes will focus on YOUR questions about your device.  You’ll walk away with some tips and tricks on how to operate your device better! No registration required. Must bring your device to the class.

  • iPad/Phone: Wednesday, Jan. 11 @ 2 pm; Tuesday, Feb. 7 @ 2 pm
  • Android Tablet/Phone: Wednesday, Jan. 25 @ 2 pm; Monday, Feb. 13 @ 2 pm
  • Windows 10 computer: Tuesday, Jan. 31 @ 2 pm; Tuesday, Feb. 21 @ 2 pm
