Libraries Rock! 2018 Summer Reading

Signs that it’s almost summer: 80 degree days, air conditioning, winding down the school year, vacation planning and thoughts of June, July and August! We have you covered on programs and activities at our library this summer, all from ages birth through adults. From storytimes and fort nights, musical theater and paint nights, book clubs, yoga and so much more, we are ready and waiting to make this summer your best one yet! And to keep everyone reading this summer, we will again be offering our Summer Reading Clubs for children, teens and adults, all beginning June 1 at 6:30 pm with our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party featuring magician Al Mazing! To register for this event, please visit our website! In addition, we will again be adding our Read for those in Need component to our summer reading.  For every 10 books or every 1 hour of reading, children will receive a ticket for chances to win end-of-summer prizes as well as receive a token to be placed in one of three charities that will receive monetary donations from our library.  This year’s three organizations are O’Backpack Children’s Foundation, Wounded Warrior and Meals on Wheels.  We are proud to have our community’s children learning and growing this summer at the library as well as giving them an opportunity to give back to wonderful organizations just by reading. We can’t wait to see you all at the library this summer!
