You’re never too old to use technology!

Each month I have the opportunity to go to a local nursing care center and teach people computer basics. All the people that I teach have never used a computer before and most are not really sure if they want to learn how to use one.

After a few months of having them learn computer basics and ask questions, we have made a lot of progress. During one of my most recent trips there, I had someone search for her old address in Google. She found a picture of her house  she used to live in and she was moved to tears. She was so excited to have a picture of her  house and to show all of her friends. We printed it out and she was able to keep it.

I think this experience really showed others what computers can help them find and how they would use computers in the future. This was a great experience for me to see the power technology has in people’s lives.

It is a great reminder to all of us that you are never to old to use technology or learn how to use it! And remember, I do one-on-one technology appointments, where you can have all your questions answered.
